Meet the Working Groups

Our research is structured into four dedicated Working Groups (WGs), each focusing on a key aspect of affective states in animals. These groups collaborate to advance scientific understanding, develop assessment methods, and inform best practices in animal welfare. Explore each WG to learn more about their objectives and contributions.

WG1

Advancing our fundamental understanding of affective states across species

WG2

Societal impacts of understanding animals’ affective states

WG3

Affective state assessment in the service of improved animal welfare

WG4

Improving treatments of affective problems across species
